The Witch Avenue Tour (Review of book 3)

The Witch Avenue Tour (Released Souls by Karice Bolton)

 Hosted By

Released Souls: Book #3

Triss and Logan’s love is becoming stronger by the day as they harness the powers between them, but will that make them blind to the evil they’re facing?
After uncovering startling information about her family, Triss is determined to right the wrongs of her ancestors. Triss and Logan uncover who has infiltrated the covens across the globe, and they realize the plans of the dark side are far more sinister than they’d ever imagined.
As the power of this hidden world is exposed, Triss learns her role in the covens. With Logan, Dace and Bakula’s assistance, Triss is now able to fully realize the abilities her ancestors have given her.
It won’t be long until the dark forces regain their strength, especially as their leader, Eben, continues his quest for a power that can never be revoked. Triss must stop him before it is too late.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have to say that when I saw that I could be apart of the blog tour and review Released Souls, I jumped at the chance. I love Karice’s books and with each new book I think she just keeps getting better and better.

While reading Released Souls I had an array of emotions going on. They ranged from excitement, a little disappointment and then there was of course the ending. Being that this is the third book in the series I will no my best not to put any spoilers in here but it will be hard as there is just so much to talk about.

I have to say that I love this series but, the farther into I get and the more Triss and Logans relationship develops I really wish it was more of an NA/Adult than a YA. This is where the disappointment comes into play, I really want to know what is going on behind those close doors..in detail. Maybe I just like getting to see the raw feelings behind the love that people share and I feel it can bring you closer to the characters. But this is just my option of course and it doesn’t take away from the book I just enjoy that aspect of books when it is done right. I guess it is a good thing we don’t have to much detail since Triss isn’t even 20, which is another good thing.
I felt that this book was more about Triss and her development with her skills and her love with Logan. We learn a good bit about what type of witch Triss is, her talents, her passion for logan and her feelings for her family. The situations that ensue throughout the book while, connecting it to the overall story to destroy the Praedivinus order and restore the Covens, Triss learns so much about herself and what she is willing to do for everyone around her. The action was there but it wasn’t as intense as I was expecting it to be. Triss is coming into her own now and she knows she will stop at nothing to make sure that the balance between good and evil is restored and the Covens can practice how they want without fear, this includes putting her own life on the line. I have to say that even though I have times where I just want to tell Triss to stop being so stubborn, I really enjoy her character, she is a strong person overcoming obstacles few people have to. Logan is still the loving guy he has been and proud of his girl. With their families save they have plenty of time to spend alone and to practice as each new power ascends to Triss. I am looking forward to the next book with all the lead up that this one has. There are so many questions I need answers too. I am just a fan girl when it comes to this series.

If you haven’t started reading this series yet and you love witches and magic you should go and grab Lonely Souls now, while it is still Free at Amazon. While not everyone likes the same things, I enjoyed this book and recommend this to you if like  Ya’s.

I received this book from the author for my honest review.

Book Blind Date (#4)

This is a brand new meme for those all to boring Monday's. Book Blind Date is inspired by a Facebook post Adria from Adria's Romance Reviews and Danielle at Book Whore Blog saw on Lawrence Public Library Page about a book blind date. This really got us thinking, what if the only thing you knew about a book was what the story was about? No character names, no pretty covers to suck you in.

Here's how it works, you know the old saying never judge a book by its cover? Well you won't be able to, for this meme you are going to decide which book you would go on a "date" with based on the synopsis. Names are removed just in case you have heard about these telltale heroines.

Blind date #1

***** As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn't stay away. I didn't want to. He was my addiction... my every desire... mine.

My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful... except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity.

We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession..

Blind Date # 2
Getting a boy to fall head-over-heels in love with you isn’t easy. Especially when he’s been in love with your cousin for as long as you can remember.

****has lived her life in her cousin’s shadow. **** always made perfect grades, had tons of friends, and looks model-perfect. And she’s always had ******—the only boy **** ever wanted—wrapped around her finger. But now things are different. **** has a chance to make ****** see her, and she’s taking it. If only he’d get over ****—because **** is sick of second-best.

****** heart is broken. He’s lost his best girl to his best friend. And then **** comes to town. ******cousin has always been sweet and soft-spoken, but now she’s drop-dead gorgeous as well. *****doesn’t know if **** can heal his broken heart, but spending time with her might at least make *****jealous.

What starts as a carefree fling becomes a lusty game of seduction. **** and *** may have different motives, but their scintillating hookups are the same kind of steamy. . .

Blind Date # 3

This is a brand new meme for those all to boring Monday's. Book Blind Date is inspired by a Facebook post Adria from Adria's Romance Reviews and Danielle at Book Whore Blog saw on Lawrence Public Library Page about a book blind date. This really got us thinking, what if the only thing you knew about a book was what the story was about? No character names, no pretty covers to suck you in.

Blind Date # 1

The year is 1819, and the renowned chef **** has been kidnapped by the ruthless pirate Mad ****** . He will be spared, she tells him, as long as he puts exquisite food in front of her every Sunday without fail.

To appease the red-haired captain, ***** gets cracking with the meager supplies on board. His first triumph at sea is actual bread, made from a sourdough starter that he leavens in a tin under his shirt throughout a roaring battle, as men are cutlassed all around him. Soon he’s making tea-smoked eel and brewing pineapple-banana cider.

But ****—who exerts a curious draw on the chef—is under siege. Hunted by a deadly privateer and plagued by a saboteur hidden on her ship, she pushes her crew past exhaustion in her search for the notorious Brass Fox. As **** begins to sense a method to **** madness, he must rely on the bizarre crewmembers he once feared: ***, the fearsome giant who loves to knit; ***and ***, martial arts masters sworn to defend their captain; and **** the deaf cabin boy who becomes the son ***** never had.

Blind Date #2

****, a former FBI Agent, who’s opened a private security firm with his brothers, has always had the hots for the prim, proper Assistant District Attorney, but considered her hand’s off because of a family connection. However, when danger threatens ****, he isn’t willing to stand by and watch her get hurt. Now the passion for survival is only rivaled by the passion burning between them. And that passion, might just be the death of them both

Who do you want a fling with this week?

Blood Flows Deep in the Empire Tour

Book Summery:

"Dyletri, God of Fertility, has locked away his powers. No woman is allowed to touch him, not until he can return his long-dead lover back to life. All he has to do is sacrifice one human girl, a girl who unlocks his powers and rips his dormant lust right out of his body. Trapped by his promise, Dyletri has no choice but to watch Ismini die, no matter how much he wants her.
Yet the darkness of his calling is spiraling within him, demanding he claim the human as his. If he goes back on his promise, the energy of the Fates will cause untold destruction in the Universe. That doesn’t change how Dyletri’s begun exhibiting symptoms that point to more than just lust. How does he allow Ismini to die when she’s come to own him from the inside out?
Desire and torment spiral into something much darker than obsession, more turbulent than an addiction, and something much more brutal than a mere soul-mating. As a war is being rekindled right under his nose, Dyletri will have to come to terms with a destiny eleven thousand years in the making. He thought he’d known what path his future would take, but he’d been wrong. Now the one woman he truly loves might pay the price for his decision.
Blood Flows Deep in the Empire is the first in a series that will pit free-will against Destiny, Destiny against Fate, and love against brutal desire. Everyone likes to think they have a choice as to who they end up with, but as they rise to face the greatest threat they’ve ever known, even the Gods will learn they have to bend to Destiny’s whim to survive."

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was my first N.Isabelle Blanco book and if you haven’t read her books yet, just look at the covers and you know your in store for some blush senses.

Salicyar has a special place in his heart for Earth although he is a God. When an evil is unleashed and the war has started death and destruction is brought upon the universe. As the God of Fertility he hates what is going on and has decided to renounce his powers and become someone else. Salicyar finds out that 11000 years from now he can bring back his lover by sacrificing her twin soul. Salicyar has no problem sentencing someone to death 11,000 years in the future. Now, known as Dyletri, the time has come for the sacrifice. Ismini has known her whole life that she was to be sacrificed, she has seen it in her dreams from Nylicia, the Watcher of Destinies. What the Dyletri and Ismini don’t know is that there is more at stack then either of them bargained for.

I would give this book 3.5 stars,Blood Flows Deep in the Empire is a sexy book. The gods are pretty much in heat the whole time, its not a bad thing, it's sexy. The book maybe packed with sex, and hot sex at that but I enjoyed the story as well. I wouldn’t recommend that you read this book if your looking for anything thought provoking and you are sensitive to melt your socks off sex because that is what you will get in this book.

This book is for mature audiences only!! Not every book is for everyone Although I liked this book, it is definitely for the exotica readers out there.

I received this book for my honest review though the publisher from netgalley
