Karina Halle
The daughter of a Norwegian Viking and a Finnish Moomin, Karina Halle grew up in Vancouver, Canada with trolls and eternal darkness on the brain. This soon turned into a love of all things that go bump in the night and a rather sadistic appreciation for freaking people out. Like many of the flawed characters she writes, Karina never knew where to find herself and has dabbled in   acting, make-up artistry, film production, screenwriting, photography, travel writing and music journalism. She eventually found herself in the pages of the very novels she wrote (if only she had looked there to begin with).

Karina holds a screenwriting degree from Vancouver Film School and a Bachelor of Journalism from TRU. Her travel writing, music reviews/interviews and photography have appeared in publications such as Consequence of Sound, Mxdwn and GoNomad Travel Guides. She currently lives on an island on the coast of British Columbia where she's preparing for the zombie apocalypse.

This was my first N.Isabelle Blanco book and if you haven’t read her books yet, just look at the covers and you know your in store for some blush senses.

Salicyar has a special place in his heart for Earth although he is a God. When an evil is unleashed and the war has started death and destruction is brought upon the universe. As the God of Fertility he hates what is going on and has decided to renounce his powers and become someone else. Salicyar finds out that 11000 years from now he can bring back his lover by sacrificing her twin soul. Salicyar has no problem sentencing someone to death 11,000 years in the future. Now, known as Dyletri, the time has come for the sacrifice. Ismini has known her whole life that she was to be sacrificed, she has seen it in her dreams from Nylicia, the Watcher of Destinies. What the Dyletri and Ismini don’t know is that there is more at stack then either of them bargained for.

 I would give this book 3.5 stars,Blood Flows Deep in the Empire is a sexy book. The gods are pretty much in heat the whole book,, but it is sexy. The book maybe packed with sex, and hot sex at that but I enjoyed the story as well. I wouldn’t recommend that you read this book if your looking for anything thought provoking and you are sensitive to melt your socks off sex because that is what you will get in this book.

This book is for mature audiences only!! Not every book is for everyone Although I liked this book, it is definitely for the exotica readers out there.

Thoughts?



Every once and awhile I post a question on here in hopes that I am not the only one who feels this way. I have two today, first, I have just finished a book that made me pretty emotional at a point, because it reflected some points in my life that are not all warm and fussy. One of the sense that caught my attention was when a girl was asked to talk to her younger self, by envisioning the past. I thought that it was an interesting concept, I know that it is used in therapy but I have never been so it was a new concept for me. My question for you guys out there readying this is. What would be the advice you would give your younger self. Would it be inspirational, motivational, funny,warning? It could be anything and it doesn’t have to be deep. I just thought I would ask and see what you all thought.

 Second, Am I the only one out there that gets emotional reading books? I mean I have cried (no shame) while reading more than one book. Have any of you? I feel as though that the seasoned reader does not get as connected and is more analyzing the book then feeling the book. When I am reading a book I want to feel that the book has real emotion and that it is believable. Now, I don’t need a book to make me cry to make me think it has a believable plot or characters, but it could be any range of emotion. While you are reading a book do you just take it for what it is, a story or do you let yourself feel what the other characters are feeling sometimes. Maybe I am just a little weak in the back bone when it comes to reading( I am ok with that). But I do hope that it is not just me. Care to share your thoughts?
