{Review} Ten Tiny Breaths

Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths, #1)Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ten Tiny Breaths had me, simple as that. This was more than your average NA story, filled with laughing, heartache and I found myself holding my breath at what would happen next.

Kacey a twenty year old and her fifteen year old sister Livie, head to Miami after a four year stay with that Aunt and Uncle in Michigan. Four years ago everything was taken from Kacey and all she has left his her baby sister who she will protect. After living a life of meaningless sex and drugs, Livie asked Kacey to stop it and so she does. When events escalate at the Aunt’s house the two sisters. with little money, plan to start a new life together where they can be different people if they want. Moving to Miami turns out to be more than Kacey bargains for and finds herself surrounded by a new family she didn’t know she needed.

Kacey is a bad-ass chick on the outside but on the inside she is struggling with the demons of her past. At times she can come off rude but you still want to get to know her, there is more than meets the eye when it comes to Kacey. Livie is a sweet and smart teenager who is wise beyond her years, forced to grow up to soon. You can’t help but love these two sister and what to follow them on their journey of discovery. Trent has just moved in to the apartment next door and is a sexy sweetheart and has the need to protect Kacey and make her happy. Storm and Mia live on the other side of Kacey and Livie, these two have their own sub story and become a big part of the sisters lives.

K.A. Tucker had brought us a story that is filled with emotion. Your heart will be filled will hope, love, unbearable sadness and everything in between. This is one of my top books so far this year, by far. A beautiful story filled with beautifully damaged and strong characters. I received this book from the publisher for my honest review.
